was developed to help end users manage, aggregate and replicate multiple
quotes from a variety of different software applications (as supplied by
multiple manufactures) into NetSuite. The challenges were in the redistribution,
management and updates of these quotes into NetSuite's estimates, order
tracking and financial management systems. Without QuoteCast, current practice
required multiple levels of manual intervention, limited reporting and spreadsheets
that ultimately limited productivity and caused error. QuoteCast solved
the problem.
Later on,
QuoteCast was extended to solve a second business problem. It helped solve
items related to job costing. This is a critical function to producing
estimates for those that not only resell but install products or services.
As quotes are managed and entered, QuoteCast has the intelligence to understand
the size, dimension, quality and other variables that affect the end solution
or product to formulate a job costing estimate that can be included into
an existing opportunity for implementation services.
